Voice Science & Habilitation Practice
Welcome to the voice science and habilitation practice at Bre Gregg Voice Studio.
This specialized arm of my studio serves as a bridge between clinical voice therapy and functional vocal re-entry. Designed for performing vocalists, occupational voice users (teachers, attorneys, public speakers), and singers transitioning out of speech therapy, my practice integrates acoustic biofeedback, laryngeal mechanics, and autonomic nervous system regulation to build long-term vocal stamina and efficiency.
Clinical Foundation & Academic Credentials
My work is backed by a Bachelor of Music Education, over 20 years of vocal instruction, and post-baccalaureate coursework in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Pacific University. This clinical background in speech-language pathology, laryngeal anatomy, and acoustic physics provides the foundation for my evidence-informed approach.
To continually deepen this framework, I am currently pursuing advanced coursework in Vocology through NYU’s School of Professional Studies, and maintain active memberships in the Pan-American Vocology Association (PAVA) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS Cascade Chapter).
Acoustic Mechanics & Habilitation
After decades of studying vocal physiology and applying it to my own singing, coaching, and post-therapy handoffs, I believe strongly in the power of understanding your instrument through objective biofeedback and sound vocal mechanics.
While every human voice possesses a unique acoustic fingerprint, singers have immense control over the resonance and efficiency of the sound they produce. By mastering aerodynamic balance, acoustic vocal tract shaping, vowel modification, and Semi-Occluded Vocal Tract (SOVT) protocols, singers gain greater freedom, acoustic output, and physical control. My goal is to collaborate alongside your clinical care team to give you that control—helping you return to singing with ease, stamina, dynamic flexibility, and health, without hyperfunction or fatigue.
Clinical Collaboration & Habilitation Offerings
POST-THERAPY VOCAL RE-ENTRY & HABILITATION
Best for: Singers, working vocalists, and performing artists transitioning out of speech therapy following clinical discharge for vocal injury, hyperfunction, or surgery.
Notes: Collaborative handoff sessions translating clinical discharge goals (e.g., resonant voice techniques, vocal function exercises) into commercial, roots, soul, folk, and contemporary styles.
OCCUPATIONAL & PROFESSONAL VOICE EFFICIENCY
Best for: Non-singers, teachers, attorneys, corporate leaders, public speakers, actors, and everyday voice users looking to build vocal stamina, increase projection and volume without strain, or reduce chronic vocal fatigue.
Notes: Practical, mechanics-based coaching focused on efficient breath flow, acoustic resonance, and laryngeal ease during high-demand speaking, presenting, or teaching.
CLINICAL REFERRAL & PROVIDER CARE COORDINATION
Best for: ENTs, Laryngologists, and Voice-Specialized SLPs looking for a trusted singing voice specialist for patient handoffs.
Notes: I strictly honor clinical scope boundaries (leaving medical diagnosis and treatment to clinical personnel) while providing detailed progress updates and open communication for patient re-entry plans.
